Oakdale Green Corridor Project
We have written a proposal as part of our submission for a Community Grant for the Oakdale Green Corridor Project (2169 kb) This wildlife corridor would lead right from the Garden of Reflection in Lydney Town Cemetery, through over the Dean Forest Railway bridge (once restored) at St Mary's halt, past the Boating Lake, and onto sites that could be used for a Community Orchard, Wildflower Meadow and a Community Kitchen Garden.
The Poetry Patch
In September 2013, we launched our first children's poetry competition, which will be an annual event. Go to the Poetry Patch to read our prize winner's wonderful poems and to see for yourself how the children have been instrumental in building our new community here on Oakdale.
Next year's poetry competition theme is: "Rainbow Day", which will make anyone who came to our first Community Day smile....
..."You can't sink a rainbow." Entries to be into the Oakdale Links office by the end of the summer term please. Contact us via email to find out where we are or scan and send your poems or artwork. Please add name, age and contact details for your family.
