Thanks to everyone from my home group for a thought-provoking evening talking about prayer last night. Home groups are small groups of people who meet together during the week to explore faith, knit (in my case), eat biscuits (trying not to, which is why I took knitting) and have a laugh. Last night we were talking about when it seems impossible to put all that we feel into words and how we have someone who can be an advocate for us and step into the gap at those times. We missed you last night, those who couldn't make it, so this is for you and for Edna.
Lots of people going to home group began with an Alpha course to explore the Christian faith, with food, friendship and limitless chances to ask questions. There are two starting up in Lydney soon, one at the Christian Fellowship in Swan Road and one starting on 4th March at the Old Vicarage, led by Revd Sarah Fenby of Lydney Parish.
