OK, enough of that. Back to my heady mixture of lemon and honey, Buttercup cough syrup, penicillin and possibly brandy. I had my first drink of 2013 on Christmas Eve when we got the bottle out for Father Christmas and it didn't actually cause the two-day-hangover-on-two-sips-of-wine that made me give up all alcohol in the first place. I prefer whiskey, but only drink single malt, having learned to tell the difference between that and a blend at the age of 15 or so (my dad used to mark the bottle with a notch on the label, but never counted the notches) and honed my experience as a student in Scotland. You get to do all sorts of interesting field trips as a biochem student.
Cheers, slainte mhah, ziveli (if you are drinking slivovic) and if I don't get to a computer in the mean time, have a great time on New Year's Eve. And don't trip over the fence on the way home, Oakdalees!
