Through the long Atlantic swell
A dark, curved shape recalls
A head full of patterns of oceans and currents
And clues to a landfall."
I was an aetheist when I wrote that. I spent some time living with her family learning about Islaam, and also becoming more convinced, mainly through conversations with other scientists, and because of the nature of DNA (which was discovered in the lab where I had worked), that there was a creator to all this.
The thought of this terrifies someone I am closely related to, because if that is right, he will have a lot of explaining to do one day. I'd rather do my explaining now and know that everything I have done wrong in my life is sorted and is forgiven. It's not too late for anyone.
