Back to my cake: I would write down the recipe here, but I have no idea exactly how I made it. I think the eggs went in last...good job I remembered them, as I nearly tipped it in the tin without them. It had as much chocolate as I could justify, a blob of marg, two ripe bananas, some self-raising flour, then a bit more when it was too sloppy....The boy gave it a final stir and in it went. It was definitely of non-traditional construction (so non mortgageable), but quite tasty when covered in enough custard.
I admit, I was a bit distracted today. Waiting is never easy for me, let alone when I'm waiting for news that will have such a profound impact on our lives. The news is that we haven't given up our hope of buying a home just yet. We need to submit our paperwork again for a second go at a mortgage. Time is against us, as we have just two weeks left in our current home. We had to give our notice in or take another six month tenancy. I wouldn't recommend placing any bets on us having a home in time (or indeed at all), but I just have a feeling that heaven is being bombarded at the moment with the prayers of our friends and that the door will be open to us in time. If I say I trust God to provide, then I have to nail my colours to the mast and say I trust him to help us buy this house. If I say it enough times, maybe I can begin to do it.
I will trust you.
I will trust you...let's try italics...
I will trust you! Getting there now. (Yay. Can I have more cake now? And a cup of tea?)
